Choose a design scheme 1.5

For my brand, I want something clean, yet sophisticated. I want my logo, website, social media and other forms of medium to elude this too. I want to create a brand that is modern yet classical at the same time. I want this look because customers are more likely to trust a brand that they know has been around for a long time rather than a business that is starting up. This week I was challenged to create a logo, something that customers will be able to recognise me from. It was advised on Wiki to get a logo made by a professional, however since I am a media specialist it is only right that I create it myself. Here are the logos that I have made: I know that I want something clean, but it also needs a tag line. The colours I have chosen for my logo are black and white. I have chosen these colours because they are simple and contrast well against each other. After I created these logos, I looked back and noticed that there was a lack of personality, slogan and colour. There ...

Refine Your Brand Language 1.4

It is great having a brand name, but mostly what I need is a slogan. Most of the more prominent companies that have a large following can be known for their slogans rather than the brand name themselves. The tagline or catchphrase can be used as something that people will talk about and will use as a final factor on whether or not they would like to purchase a product or not. Slogans should be something that lines up to the companies mission statement, they have to compliment each other well and be memorable. It was also noted on Wiki How, that this has to be something that is posted through products, advertisements and when I discuss my product with possible customers. The tips I have been able to learn his week are: - Keep the text as basic as you can -  All branded items should match the tone you hope to emit for your business.

Think Like a Customer 1.3

If you think like a customer, you will gain customers. In this section I was challenged to answer two questions. 1. When you buy a product, why do you buy it? To answer question one, Majority of the time I buy items because I have seen them advertised somewhere else previously. On the odd occasion, I purchase items because I want them rather than needing them. If something is marketed well and is getting great reviews, I will be interested in the product myself and will want to try it for myself. The reasons as to why I buy products differ on the use of the product, in this case as I am focusing on baby items, I will comment on this. When purchasing baby products, I am more likely to buy something cute and something that not everyone else can get. I like the exclusivity of a product and having something that is one of a kind. 2. What makes you choose a particular brand? When purchasing branded items - which I rarely do, I look to see if they are something that is currently tre...

Decide How You Want To Be Seen 1.2

1.2 of Wiki Hows article is based upon deciding where I want to be seen as a brand and a business. This is important due to consumers and customers will be using this as a point of reference to contact you.  The purpose of this section is to get me thinking about what customers will see when they look at my brand, they need to know that it is a place where they can place their trust.  How do I want my brand to be perceived, is something that is pivotal and can necessarily make or break the business. I want to be able to provide my customers with something that is reliable, trustworthy and is worth it. From this section, I was able to deter that for the business it is essential to understand the image I am trying to portray and to be perceived in a particular light I have to be able to manipulate it that way and stick to it.  Petite Apparel's Mission: Knitted baby wear - Reliable, Comfortable, and Made Especially for You.
