Promoting Your Brand 3.1

To promote my brand and ensure that I am spreading awareness about it, I have to create a strategy and a plan. Exposure is something that I will need to gain customers, and build a profitable business. The nature of my business is online, and I want to be able to acquire customers this way also. To do this, I will have to use the information from my survey and use it to my advantage.  There are advertising businesses which I can use to help promote my business. In this instance, I will be using Facebook ads to target the right demographic and enable recognition within the brand. I do also hope to gain customers through the use of market stalls and networking events. This will be something I will think about later on. I am not sure if I want to target magazines and print just of yet because I want to find out my bearings and find out what works and what does not before I spend money. Before I can share an advertisement, I will have to make an advertisement. This week I wan...

Talk with your customers 2.4

The feedback that was received by my audience allowed me to understand things through the eyes of a customer. At this current point, I have not yet had a customer that has given me feedback. This could be a good thing, but it could also be a bad thing.  Feedback is something that may deter the thoughts and opinions of other customers, if the feedback is good then more people are likely to purchase again or if it is bad then they will not. Talking to my customers will allow me to understand things and help me to improve on the matters at hand. It is important to listen to the customer because they are the people that I am trying to impress with my products, and it is them who I want to be able to trust me with their items.  In order to be able to carry out great customer service I will have to remember: 1. The customer is always right 2. Respond quickly and efficiently. 3. Make is personable

Do a competitive analysis 2.3

Many businesses sell baby attire. However, the sector I want to analyse is the knitted babywear sector. To find these businesses, I will be searching keywords into Google and see what activities show up. The businesses that I was able to find were: Mabli, Etsy and Muoi. These are the top three companies that sell knitted babywear. As we can see there is not a variety of businesses for customers to choose from; therefore I will not be inserting myself into a highly saturated industry. When scouting for these companies, I also stumbled across a baby business called ‘Baby Mori’. At first, I was not interested in them because they did not sell knitted garments; however, that does not mean that they are not competition for me. For this reason, I will be researching into this brand also. By researching into existing businesses, I will allow myself to understand where I stand as a business, look into what customers are into and learn from the previous companies have made before. I will be ...

Conduct market research to find out who you're serving 2.2

Having a business is great, but serving the right demographic is crucial. To develop this brand further, I will have to find and target the correct demographic. To see this demographic, I will be creating a survey on survey monkey to find out more about my audience. This will enable me to focus my advertisements correctly and efficiently. I used common market research questions from https://blog.alexa.com/market-research-questions/ to formulate the survey. I chose this method because it was easier and would deliver similar results to a focus group. The main reason I decided to do a study online was because of the ease of access. By completing a survey, online users are not limited to the ways to which they can respond to questions. By completing the survey online, it also reaches a broader audience, which is something that is needed to create a successful recollection of data. A link to the survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KZ8N9L3 . The results of this...

Back up your message with a great product 2.1

Behind a good business is the right product. It is mostly my role to make sure that the product that I am going to sell is of excellent quality. It is best not to oversell my image when I first decided I was going to create a brand I wanted it to be considered a luxury, however as I am progressing I understand that creating something of luxury quality is something I cannot deliver at this particular point in time. Quality of service is something that I am going to have to push to be recognised for my hard work. The more the product sells, and is accompanied by compliments from customers, the company will be able to work off word of mouth. To be successful within this realm, I will be making sure that business promises will be in line with what I can deliver. Trust is essential when developing a consumer and customer base. It is crucial that I implement these factors.
